Honey Whiskey Clove Ham

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Bourbon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 (5 lb) bone-in ham, fully cooked spiral sliced

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix the honey, whiskey, and ground cloves together until they form a smooth, blended glaze.
  2. Put the ham into a roasting pan with the cut side facing down, then use a brush to apply the honey mixture over its surface.
  3. Cover the pan with foil and bake at 275°F for 1 hour, or until the ham is heated through. Take off the foil and turn the oven up to 425°F. Brush on more of the honey glaze and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the ham turns golden brown.
  4. Take the ham out of the roasting pan, transfer it to a platter for serving, and spoon the pan juices over the top.
