Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce
This versatile Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce is a flavourful blend of smooth peanut butter, soy sauce, aromatic sesame oil and fresh ginger and garlic. It is brightened with rice vinegar, lime juice and a touch of heat from hot sauce. The simple method involves blending everything together until smooth, resulting in a rich sauce ideal for dressings, dipping or drizzling over dishes. It yields approximately 2 cups and comes together in just 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup soy sauce or 1/4 cup tamari
- 1/4 cup oriental sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ginger, chopped
- 2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 3/4 cup water
Method
- Place all of the listed ingredients into the bowl of a food processor.
- Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth and well combined.
- Pause the processor occasionally to scrape down the sides with a spatula to ensure everything is incorporated.
