Smoked Salmon Rolls
These simple rolls were created for a festive work party and proved very popular. Tortilla rounds are spread with a seasoned cream cheese mixture, topped with smoked salmon, then rolled and sliced. They can be served immediately or chilled first. The recipe yields about 40 pieces, making it ideal for sharing.
Ingredients
- 1 package tortilla, rounds
- 1 package smoked salmon
- 1 container cream cheese spread
- 1/2 teaspoon dill
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
Method
- Combine the cream cheese spread with the dill, garlic, onion salt, and lemon juice.
- Take each tortilla round and cover it entirely with the cream cheese mixture.
- Place slices of smoked salmon over one half of each prepared tortilla.
- Begin rolling the tortilla from the side where the salmon is located.
- Use a little of the cream cheese to stick the edge down, then position the roll with the seam facing down on a tray.
- You may slice the rolls immediately or chill them for 30 min to get cleaner cuts.
- The end pieces might not look perfect but are delicious for sampling.
- A vegetable platter works well for transporting these to an event.
- For an attractive presentation, arrange them alongside shrimp with a seafood dip in the centre.
