Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package meat ravioli (fresh or frozen -thaw if frozen)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning

Method

  1. Combine the water and eggs in a bowl, beating them thoroughly before setting the mixture aside.
  2. In a separate dish, blend the breadcrumbs with the Italian seasoning and garlic salt, then set this aside.
  3. Place the measured flour into another bowl and set it aside for coating.
  4. Pour vegetable oil into a deep fryer or skillet and heat it to 350 degrees for deep frying.
  5. Coat each ravioli first in the flour, then dip it into the egg wash, and finally press it into the breadcrumb mixture before carefully lowering it into the hot oil.
  6. Cook the ravioli until they turn a golden colour, then take them out of the oil to drain.
  7. Present the toasted ravioli with your preferred marinara sauce for dipping.
