Roasted Grapes for Cheese Platter
This wonderfully simple recipe transforms grapes through roasting. The heat causes their natural sugars to caramelise, deepening their colour and intensifying their flavour. The result is a warm, sweet condiment that pairs beautifully with creamy cheeses like Brie, Gorgonzola, or Camembert on a platter. It requires just two ingredients and minimal preparation for an impressive accompaniment.
Ingredients
- 2 cups seedless grapes (either leave on or remove the stems)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Method
- Set your oven to 500 degrees F.
- Put the grapes into a plastic bag and add the olive oil.
- Shake the bag gently to ensure the grapes are coated in the oil.
- Transfer the coated grapes onto a baking sheet.
- Roast for 10-15 minutes until the grapes darken in colour and their skins just start to split.
- Allow the grapes to cool on a plate before serving.
