Baked Papaya
This straightforward recipe transforms mature but unripe papaya into a warm, gently spiced treat. The fruit is prepared, seasoned with cinnamon and sugar, and then baked until tender. It originates from a 1947 American regional cookbook. A savoury alternative using salt, lemon juice, and butter is also noted. The entire process takes about 45 minutes to yield four portions.
