Asian Slaw
This vibrant Asian slaw comes together in moments using a prepared coleslaw mix. It's packed with texture from crushed ramen noodles, sliced almonds and sunflower seeds, all coated in a tangy, sweet dressing made with bottled oil and vinegar dressing, sugar and a ramen seasoning packet. Fresh green onions add a final pop of flavour. It's an ideal side dish for any meal, serving 8 people.
Ingredients
- 1 (3 ounce) package beef flavor ramen noodles with seasoning packet
- 1 (3 ounce) package roasted sunflower seed kernels
- 1 (3 ounce) package sliced almonds
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 cup bottled oil and vinegar salad dressing (such as Newman's Own®)
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 1 (16 ounce) package coleslaw mix
Method
- Collect the required ingredients.
- In a bowl, crush the ramen noodles. Add the seasoning packet, sunflower seed kernels, sliced almonds, chopped green onions, 1 cup of oil and vinegar salad dressing and 0.5 cup of white sugar, stirring until the sugar has fully dissolved.
- Transfer the coleslaw mix to a large salad bowl. Pour the prepared dressing mixture over it and toss gently to ensure everything is evenly coated.
