This healthy meatloaf is designed for the Weight Watchers plan, using fat-free ground turkey and sugar-free sauces to keep points low. The loaf is flavoured with onion, breadcrumbs, and seasonings, then topped with a sweet and tangy glaze before baking. Ingredients
- 2 lbs fat free ground turkey
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sugar free barbecue sauce (G Hughes)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup sugar free ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons stevia
- 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Method
- Combine the first seven listed ingredients and transfer the mixture into a loaf pan.
- Mix the following five ingredients together and spread this glaze evenly over the meatloaf.
- Place the loaf pan in an oven preheated to 350 and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Allow the cooked meatloaf to stand for 5 minutes before you cut it into slices.
