Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies (Cake Mix)
These rich and chewy chocolate chip cookies are wonderfully simple to prepare using a box of white cake mix as the foundation. Combined with brown sugar, chocolate chips, nuts, oil and an egg, the dough comes together quickly. Drop teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake until golden for a batch of 36 irresistible treats in just 17 minutes total.
Ingredients
- 1 (18 1/2 ounce) box white cake mix, I use duncan hines
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed I use dark brown
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
Method
- Set your oven to heat to 375°.
- Combine every listed ingredient thoroughly in a large mixing bowl.
- Place rounded teaspoons of the dough onto a cookie sheet that does not require greasing.
- Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes, baking until the middle of each cookie turns a golden brown colour.
- Allow the baked cookies to rest on the sheet for 1 minute.
- Transfer them to a wire rack for complete cooling.
