Chilli Lemon Octopus
This dish features baby octopus marinated in a bold blend of fresh lemon, chilli sauce, and garlic. Ingredients
- 2 kg baby octopus
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon rind, grated
- 3/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons hot chili sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
Method
- Discard the heads and beaks from the octopus, then cut each one in half.
- In a large bowl, mix the octopus with the grated lemon rind, lemon juice, olive oil, chilli sauce, and crushed garlic. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for 3 hours or leave it overnight.
- Take the octopus out of the marinade, allowing the liquid to drain away, and dispose of the used marinade.
