This indulgent crab dip combines lump crabmeat with a creamy blend of Monterey Jack, cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise. Flavoured with bell pepper, green onion, parsley, lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning, it is baked until hot and bubbling, then finished with a sprinkle of Parmesan. Cheesy Baked Crab Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup minced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup minced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 2 (8 ounce) containers lump crabmeat, picked
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • toasted french bread rounds or cracker

Method

  1. Set your oven to heat to 350*.
  2. Take a large bowl and mix together the Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced red bell pepper, green onion, chopped parsley, lemon juice, Old Bay Seasoning and ground red pepper. Carefully fold the lump crabmeat into this cheese mixture.
  3. Transfer the combined mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  4. Top the crab mixture with the freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the dip is bubbly.
  6. Enjoy the dip while hot, accompanied by toasted French bread rounds or crackers.
