Create a luxurious dessert in moments with these quick mocha pots. Melted chocolate is folded into lightly whipped cream with vanilla, then divided into individual servings. Each pot is finished with a spoonful of cool crème fraîche. The recipe is incredibly fast, taking just 7 minutes in total, and is perfect for a last-minute treat. You can use milk chocolate for a milder flavour, especially if serving younger guests.

5-Minute Mocha Pots

Ingredients

  • 200g milk or dark chocolate with coffee, broken into chunks
  • 300ml pot double cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate chunks in a microwave for 2 mins, pausing to stir once, or use a bowl set over simmering water. Allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Lightly whip the double cream and vanilla extract together using an electric whisk. Gently incorporate the melted chocolate into the cream until you have a uniform mixture.
  3. Divide the chocolate cream between four small bowls or ramekins. Add a dollop of crème fraîche on top of each one. For later serving, refrigerate the pots first and add the crème fraîche just before presenting them.
