Ingredients

  • 90 g powdered sugar
  • 90 g all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 60 g butter

Method

  1. Split the prepared apple slices into two equal piles.
  2. Arrange one pile of apples in a glass baking dish, dust with half the powdered sugar, then layer the remaining apples on top.
  3. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the sifted flour in a separate bowl to create a texture like fine breadcrumbs.
  4. Add the rest of the powdered sugar to this mixture and combine thoroughly.
  5. Evenly distribute the crumble topping over the fruit layer and press it down gently with your fingers.
