3 Step Cheesecake
This straightforward cheesecake recipe requires just a few key steps. A creamy filling of cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and eggs is blended and baked in a ready made graham cracker crust. After chilling, it is finished with a layer of sour cream, fresh strawberries and a drizzle of warmed strawberry jelly for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 prepared graham cracker crumb crust (6 ounces or 9 inches)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 cups strawberries, stems removed
- 2 tablespoons strawberry jelly, heated up
Method
- Using an electric mixer, blend the softened cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Incorporate the eggs into the cream cheese mixture and continue to mix until everything is fully blended.
- Transfer the prepared filling into the graham cracker crumb crust.
- Place the cheesecake in an oven preheated to 350 and bake for 40 minutes, or until the centre is nearly set, then allow it to cool.
- Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for 3 hours or overnight. Once chilled, spread the sour cream evenly over the top. Arrange the strawberries with the stem side facing down.
- Finish by drizzling the warmed strawberry jelly over the assembled cheesecake.
