1-Dish Apple Streusel

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 (11 ml) envelopes fleichmann's instant fast rise yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Carnation Evaporated Milk, very warm (regular,2%, fat-free)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 (540 ml) can apple pie filling
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Method
- Combine the batter ingredients directly in a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Spread the apple pie filling evenly over the top of the batter layer.
- Use a fork to mix the streusel ingredients in a small bowl until they form a uniform crumbly mixture.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping over the layer of apple filling.
- Place the dish into a cold oven, then set the temperature to 350F.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the streusel is cooked through.
