Winter Whiskey Sour
Give the classic bourbon cocktail a festive makeover with fresh orange juice and a dazzling edible gold glitter rim. This glamorous drink, ideal for Christmas parties, combines bourbon with citrus and sugar syrup, shaken and served over crushed ice. It's a simple yet impressive cocktail that serves two and takes only 10 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
- crushed ice
- 50ml bourbon
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1/2 tbsp sugar syrup
- 2 slices of oranges
- honey
- gold edible glitter
Method
- Take a small paintbrush or your finger to apply honey around the rims of two tumblers, then use a separate brush to adhere edible gold glitter to each honey-coated rim.
- Add crushed ice to fill both glasses. Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, orange juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker. Shake the mixture well, strain it into the prepared glasses and garnish each with an orange slice, serving with short straws.
