These American-style tortilla rollups are a speedy appetiser or snack. The filling combines shredded Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chunky salsa and sour cream, all seasoned with a packet of dry fiesta-style ranch dressing mix. The mixture is spread onto flour tortillas, rolled up and chilled. For serving, simply slice each roll into 3/4-inch pieces. This recipe makes 10 full rollups, which yield about 25 individual slices.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry fiesta-style ranch dressing mix
  • 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded Cheddar cheese, chunky salsa, sour cream, softened cream cheese and dry fiesta-style ranch dressing mix. Stir until fully blended. Spread this mixture evenly over the surface of each flour tortilla. Roll each tortilla up tightly and place in the refrigerator to chill until you are ready to serve them.
  2. When ready to serve, take the chilled tortilla rolls and slice each one into 3/4-inch pieces. Arrange all the sliced rollups on a large platter for presentation.
