Stuffed Dates for Ramadan
This simple Middle Eastern appetiser is an ideal sweet treat for Ramadan. Whole toasted almonds are tucked inside pitted dates, which are then arranged on a platter. Each one is finished with a spoonful of creme fraiche and a final sprinkle of chopped toasted almonds for extra texture. The whole process takes just 15 minutes to prepare 20 delightful bites.
Ingredients
- 20 pitted dates
- 20 blanched almonds, toasted
- 1 (8 ounce) container creme fraiche
- 2 tablespoons chopped toasted almonds, or to taste
Method
- Take a whole toasted almond and place it inside each pitted date.
- Arrange all the stuffed dates on a platter for serving.
- Spoon a small amount of creme fraiche over the top of each date.
- Finish by sprinkling the chopped toasted almonds over the creme fraiche.
