Spicy Dirty Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans rotel
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Method

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet, then drain off any excess fat.
  2. Prepare the rice by boiling the 3 cups of water, adding the 1 1/2 cups of rice, covering the pan, and letting it simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Stir the canned Rotel and the optional 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper into the cooked rice and beef mixture.
