Spicy Burger (Hamburguesa Picosita)
This recipe offers a deliciously different burger with a spicy Latin character. For the best flavour, prepare the seasoned meat mixture and let it rest for about 2 hours before cooking. Ingredients
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 slices tomatoes
- 4 leaves romaine lettuce
- mayonnaise
- mustard
- ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 egg
- 2 jalapenos, chopped
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- salt
Method
- Place the ground beef into a mixing bowl.
- Incorporate all of the listed ingredients into the bowl with the meat.
- Use your hands to combine everything thoroughly until the mixture is uniform.
- Transfer the meat mixture into a plastic bag and refrigerate it for about 2 hours. This step is optional.
- Warm a skillet and cook each meat patty for 3 minutes per side.
- Warm the buns and spread mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup on them. Add tomato slices and romaine lettuce as desired.
- Serve the completed burgers with a drink of your choice.
