Spicy Burger (Hamburguesa Picosita)

Ingredients

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 slices tomatoes
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • mayonnaise
  • mustard
  • ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 jalapenos, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • salt

Method

  1. Place the ground beef into a mixing bowl.
  2. Incorporate all of the listed ingredients into the bowl with the meat.
  3. Use your hands to combine everything thoroughly until the mixture is uniform.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture into a plastic bag and refrigerate it for about 2 hours. This step is optional.
  5. Warm a skillet and cook each meat patty for 3 minutes per side.
  6. Warm the buns and spread mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup on them. Add tomato slices and romaine lettuce as desired.
  7. Serve the completed burgers with a drink of your choice.
