Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wrap
This wrap features chicken breasts marinated in a spicy hot sauce blend, then grilled and sliced. The cooked chicken is tossed with more hot sauce, your choice of ranch or blue cheese dressing, and Monterey Jack cheese before being wrapped with shredded lettuce in a warm flour tortilla. It's a simple, handheld meal perfect for a speedy lunch or satisfying snack, ready in about 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup franks red hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing or 1/4 cup bleu cheese salad dressing
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
- 4 10-inch flour tortillas (warmed)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder, to taste
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Method
- Season the chicken breast halves with garlic powder, salt and pepper according to your preference.
- Pour 1/3 cup of the hot pepper sauce and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil into a large plastic bag.
- Put the seasoned chicken into the bag and shake it gently to coat all pieces in the marinade.
- Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the chicken on a grill until it is fully cooked through.
- Cut the grilled chicken into thin strips.
- Transfer the chicken strips to a bowl and add the remaining 1/3 cup of hot sauce, the salad dressing and the shredded cheese, mixing everything together thoroughly.
- Lay a warmed tortilla flat and arrange the chicken mixture and shredded lettuce along its centre.
- Fold the tortilla around the filling, rolling it up tightly like a burrito.
- Slice each rolled wrap in half.
- Serve immediately.
