Spicy Breakfast Sausage
Create your own flavourful breakfast sausage from scratch. This recipe uses ground pork seasoned with a classic blend of sage, parsley, black pepper, thyme, and coriander. The mixture can be shaped into patties using a simple ring mould technique or stuffed into casings. Ingredients
- 16 ounces ground pork
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander
- 1/4 cup cold water
Method
- Combine the cold water with the salt, parsley, sage, black pepper, thyme, and coriander in a bowl, stirring thoroughly.
- Mix the ground pork into the seasoned water until everything is fully incorporated.
- Place a cover on the bowl and put it in the refrigerator to chill overnight.
- Shape the mixture into patties or fill sausage casings, then cook in a frying pan.
- Serve the cooked sausages immediately.
