Spicy Bloody Mary Mix
This is a homemade Spicy Bloody Mary mix recipe, originally a bartender's house blend. It offers a more economical alternative to commercial mixes and allows for personal flavour adjustments. The recipe combines tomato juice with horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings, requiring a brief resting period before serving. It can be enjoyed with or without alcohol.
Ingredients
- 1 (46 ounce) can tomato juice
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Italian salad dressing mix (like Good Season's)
- 1 minced garlic clove (I usually use about 1/2 t. garlic powder)
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
Method
- Mix everything together in a pitcher that is not made of metal.
- Let the mixture stand for several hours prior to mixing with your chosen spirit, though it is also enjoyable on its own.
- As an alternative, you can use 1 tablespoon of dill pickle juice if you prefer not to include dill weed.
