Spicy Beef With Potatoes

This hearty dish combines tender stir-fry beef with diced potatoes in a richly spiced sauce. Flavoured with cumin, paprika and a touch of cayenne, it's a satisfying meal that cooks in one pan. Spicy Beef With Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 lb stir-fry beef
  • 1/4 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • cayenne, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup potato, cooked & diced

Method

  1. Warm the olive oil and cook the sliced onion and beef together until the meat loses its pink colour.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium-low and mix in the cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, parsley flakes and Worcestershire sauce. Fry this mixture for 10 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Add the cooked, diced potatoes to the pan and cook for a further 7 minutes. Serve the finished dish with thick bread.
