Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons chili oil
- 3 hot chile peppers
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into bite-size pieces
- 1.5 teaspoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 5 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
Method
- Warm the chili oil in a large skillet. Cook the chile peppers and garlic until aromatic and starting to colour. Introduce the chicken pieces, white sugar, garlic salt, and black pepper, cooking until the chicken is no longer pink but not fully done.
- Put in the mushrooms, chopped onions, and oyster sauce. Continue cooking until the onion has softened and the chicken is cooked through. Remove from the heat, mix in the fresh basil leaves, and allow it to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
