This quick snack features ripe avocado, sliced into cubes while still in its skin. It is then seasoned with fresh lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and a generous drizzle of your favourite hot sauce. Spicy Avocado Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe avocado, halved and pitted
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (such as Valentina®), or to taste
  • 2 pinches kosher salt

Method

  1. Take each avocado half and slice the flesh 3 or 4 times in one direction. Rotate the avocado and make another 3 or 4 slices perpendicular to the first, creating 8 to 12 small cubes that remain attached to the skin.
  2. Pour lemon juice over each prepared avocado half and sprinkle with kosher salt. Finish by drizzling hot sauce over the top. Enjoy directly from the peel using a fork or spoon.
