Shish Kabob Marinade
This straightforward marinade recipe comes from a friend and is wonderfully simple to prepare. It works beautifully with various meats like chicken, pork, beef or venison. The process involves combining a few common ingredients, then letting your chosen meat and vegetables soak up the flavours. The total time includes marinating for at least a couple of hours before threading onto skewers and grilling.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Method
- Combine all the listed ingredients in a bowl.
- Place your chosen meat and vegetables, cut into bite size pieces, into the marinade. Common vegetable choices include green pepper, onion, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.
- Allow the mixture to marintate in the refrigerator for at least a couple hours.
- Take the marinated items and thread them onto skewers before placing on the grill.
