Ingredients
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 1 (15 ounce) can solid-pack pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Method
- Cook the finely chopped onion in butter within a large saucepan until it softens.
- Take the pan off the heat and mix in the flour to create a smooth paste.
