Pork Chops and Potatoes in Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 4 potatoes, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1 can condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

Method

  1. Warm the canola oil in a frying pan.
  2. Cook the onion in the pan until it has softened.
  3. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the chops in the pan and fry them lightly on each side.
  5. Take the chops from the pan and let them drain on paper towel.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350.
  7. Combine the condensed golden mushroom soup with the milk.
  8. Lightly grease a casserole dish.
  9. Arrange the sliced potatoes in the base of the dish.
  10. Place the pork chops over the potatoes.
  11. Pour the blended soup mixture over the chops and potatoes.
  12. Bake the dish covered for 40 minutes.
  13. Continue baking uncovered for another 15 to 20 minutes.
