This classic Latin American cocktail blends pisco with fresh lime juice and simple syrup. An egg white is shaken in to create its signature thick, foamy texture. The drink is finished with a swirl of aromatic bitters for a beautiful presentation. It's a refreshing and elegant choice, ready in just 5 minutes.

Pisco Sour Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 fluid ounces pisco
  • 0.75 fluid ounce lime juice
  • 0.75 fluid ounce simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup ice
  • 4 drops Angostura bitters

Method

  1. Place the pisco, lime juice, simple syrup and egg white into a cocktail shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 20 seconds to emulsify the egg white. Add the cup of ice, cover again and shake until the mixture is well chilled.
  2. Pour the cocktail through a strainer into a chilled Champagne coupe. Finish by swirling 4 drops of Angostura bitters on top using 2 straws as a garnish.
