Mini Swedish meatballs with cranberry sauce
These flavourful Scandinavian canapes feature seasoned pork mince meatballs with allspice and breadcrumbs, pan-fried until cooked. They are ready in just 30 minutes, making them ideal for summer entertaining. Ingredients
- 300g pork mince
- 50g fresh white breadcrumb
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp finely chopped or grated onion
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- cranberry sauce or jelly, to serve
Method
- Combine the pork mince, fresh white breadcrumb, egg yolk, grated onion and ground allspice in a bowl with seasoning.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly and shape the mixture into roughly 20 small meatballs.
- Warm the olive oil in a frying pan.
- Cook the meatballs in two separate batches, browning them on all sides until fully cooked through.
- Present the meatballs with a bowl of cranberry sauce or jelly for dipping.
