Marry Me Chicken

⏱ 490 mins 🍽 1 casserole, 6 serving(s) 🏷 Chicken

This comforting chicken casserole, often called Marry Me Chicken, is a simple one-dish bake. A whole chicken is combined with a can of cream of chicken or mushroom soup, water, sliced onion, and celery, then seasoned to taste. It bakes until tender and is then deboned and served over a bed of rice for a complete, homely dinner. The dish can also be prepared in a crockpot for a longer, slower cook.

Marry Me Chicken

  • spices (I like celery salt, garlic, thyme or basil, and pepper)

Method

  1. Combine all the listed ingredients directly into a casserole dish or crockpot.
  2. Bake the dish at 350* for 1 hour, or cook it in a crockpot for 5-8 hours.
  3. Once cooked, remove the chicken bones.
