Lime and Chilli Pitta Crisps
These Greek-inspired pitta crisps offer a light and flavourful snack. Tear pitta breads into pieces, coat them with a touch of oil, then season with zesty lime and fiery chilli flakes. A quick bake in the oven transforms them into perfectly crisp bites, ideal for serving at a buffet, as canapés, or for a simple lunch. They are ready to enjoy in only 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 pitta breads
- 1/2 tsp oil
- lime zest
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
Method
- Set your oven to 180C/fan160C/gas 4. Tear the 2 pitta breads into pieces suitable for crisps and lightly brush them with 1 tsp oil.
- Scatter the lime zest and 1⁄2 tsp chilli flakes evenly over the prepared pitta pieces.
- Place in the oven to bake for 10 mins until they become crisp. You can add a sprinkle of salt after baking if desired.
