These speedy wraps offer a lighter take on a classic Chinese dish. Cooked turkey or chicken is tossed in hoisin sauce and grilled until hot, then wrapped in warm tortillas with fresh cucumber, spring onions and peppery watercress. It's a flavourful and satisfying meal that comes together in only 10 minutes, perfect for a quick lunch, snack or light supper.

Ingredients

  • 200g cooked turkey or chicken cut into strips
  • 4 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cucumber deseeded and shredded
  • 4 spring onions trimmed and finely shredded
  • good handful watercress

Method

  1. Set your grill to high. Combine the turkey or chicken strips with half of the hoisin sauce, ensuring they are well coated. Arrange the coated meat in an ovenproof dish and grill until it begins to sizzle. Meanwhile, warm the flour tortillas under the grill or as directed on their packaging.
  2. Take the warmed tortillas and spread the remaining hoisin sauce over them. Fill each tortilla with the grilled meat, shredded cucumber, finely shredded spring onions and a handful of watercress. Roll them up to enclose the filling, slice each wrap in half and serve immediately while still warm.
