Hamburger Steak With Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup self rising flour
  • 1/4 cup self rising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the hamburger steaks together, but leave out the flour.
  2. Form the meat mixture into patties and coat them thoroughly in the flour.
  3. Heat some oil in a skillet and cook the patties until they are browned on both sides.
  4. Take the patties out of the skillet and set them aside.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the gravy until well combined.
  6. Pour the gravy mixture into the skillet, stirring continuously until it thickens.
  7. Check the seasoning, adding more salt and pepper or seasoned salt if desired.
  8. Return the patties to the skillet, turning them to cover with gravy.
