Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger or 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt & pepper
- 3 -3 1/2 cups milk (Depends on how thick or thin you like it whole, skim or 2% all work well)
Method
- Place the meat into a large skillet, seasoning it with salt and pepper.
- Cook the meat until it is thoroughly browned. only drain if using hamburger with a significant amount of fat.
- Scatter the flour evenly over the cooked meat and mix it in completely.
- After the flour is fully incorporated and has cooked for a few minutes, gradually pour in the milk while stirring continuously until the gravy reaches your desired thickness.
