Fudge
This straightforward recipe for chocolate fudge requires minimal effort and just a few ingredients. Prepared in the microwave, it combines semisweet chocolate, condensed milk and butter for a rich, smooth result. Chopped walnuts add a pleasant crunch. Ingredients
- 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 0.25 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Method
- Assemble your ingredients.
- Place the chocolate chips, condensed milk and butter pieces into a large bowl suitable for the microwave. Heat on medium until the chocolate has melted, which will take 3 to 5 minutes, giving it a stir once or twice as it cooks.
- While that heats, take an 8-inch square glass dish and grease it thoroughly.
- Take the bowl from the microwave and mix in the chopped walnuts. Transfer the mixture into your greased dish.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator and leave it to firm up for about 2 hours.
- Slice the set fudge into 16 squares.
