Easy Savoy Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head savoy cabbage, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup heavy whipping cream, or to taste
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground nutmeg, or to taste
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Put the sliced cabbage in a pot and cover it with cold water, then bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, let it cook for 1 minute.
  2. Drain the cabbage and rinse it under cold running water. Use your hands to squeeze out as much moisture as you can until the cabbage is very dry.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the dried cabbage, cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook until the cabbage becomes soft and has a creamy texture, which should take 2 to 4 minutes.
