Ingredients

  • 2 ounces butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425.
  2. Divide the butter and place one piece into each of two 8-inch round cake pans. Place them in the oven to melt, watching carefully, and remove once melted.
  3. In a blender, combine the eggs and milk, then gradually blend in the flour.
  4. Pour an equal amount of the batter into each prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes until the Dutch babies are very puffed, firm, and have golden brown edges.
  6. To serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar and squeeze half a lemon over each one, or use maple syrup.
