The distinctive sauce is made with Dr. Pepper cola, ketchup, vinegar and spices, creating a tangy and flavourful glaze. It is designed to coat two whole chickens, which are then cooked on the grill or in the oven. The entire process, from preparing the sauce to finishing the chicken, takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups Dr. Pepper cola
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 medium onions
Method
