Curry and Mayonnaise Rusks
These savoury Indian rusks offer a delightful crunch with a flavourful topping. Slices of bread are toasted on one side, then spread with a mixture of butter, mayonnaise, curry powder, and Parmesan. Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- 60 g butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
Method
- Cut the crusts away from the bread slices.
- Toast the bread, but only on a single side.
- Mix the softened butter with mayonnaise, curry powder, grated cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Apply this mixture to the side of the bread that was not toasted, then dust with paprika.
- Slice each piece of bread into three equal strips.
- Arrange them on a baking tray and cook in a 180C (350F) oven for 15-20 minutes until they have browned.
