Creamy Baked Apples

Ingredients
- 3 -4 granny smith apples
- butter
- cinnamon sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- cinnamon
- nutmeg (optional)
Method
- Peel and core the apples, then cut them into eighths.
- Place the apple slices into a baking dish and dot them with pieces of butter.
- Generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the apples.
- Bake in the microwave on HIGH for about 10 minutes or until a fork inserts easily, stirring at least once.
- Take the dish from the microwave and set it aside.
- In a saucepan, bring the flour, sugar and milk to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Take the saucepan off the heat, add the vanilla and stir thoroughly.
- Pour the cooked sauce over the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg if desired.
