  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup any flavor fruit jam
  • 0.33333334326744 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Method

  1. Collect all the required ingredients.
  2. In a bowl, blend the cream cheese and butter until the mixture is creamy.
  3. Slowly mix in the flour until incorporated, then form the dough into a ball. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  4. Heat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  5. On a floured surface, roll the dough to a 1/8 inch thickness. Cut it into 2 ½-inch squares and place roughly 1/2 teaspoon of jam in the middle of each.
  6. Fold opposite corners over the filling and press them together to close. Arrange the pastries on baking sheets that do not need greasing.
  7. Bake in the heated oven for about 10 to 12 minutes until they turn a light golden colour. Let them cool on wire racks, then sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar.
