Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups ketchup
  • 7 ounces brown sugar
  • 0.5 red onion, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 3.5 fluid ounces red wine vinegar
  • 2 ounces butter
  • 0.5 small red chile pepper, finely chopped, or to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Prepare all the listed ingredients.
  2. Place the ketchup, brown sugar, chopped red onion, honey, red wine vinegar, butter, chopped red chile pepper, garlic, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper into a saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
