Coconut Oil Popcorn
This coconut oil popcorn offers a delicious twist on the classic snack. Prepared in a pot on the hob, the kernels are popped in coconut oil for a distinctive flavour. The whole process takes about 10 minutes, resulting in a light and satisfying treat for two. Simply season with sea salt to your preference for a perfect quick appetiser or snack.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup unpopped popcorn
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- sea salt to taste
Method
- Add the popcorn kernels and coconut oil to a 3-quart pot and set it over the hob. Place the lid on the pot.
- Continuously shake the pot while the popcorn is popping. Once the popping sound slows to several seconds between pops, which should take about 3 to 5 minutes, take the pot off the heat. Transfer the popcorn to a big bowl and add sea salt as desired.
