Cheesy Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes (4-5 cups)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then chill them completely before grating.
  2. Set the grated potatoes aside for later use.
  3. In a saucepan, melt together the shredded cheese, milk and butter.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the chopped onion, sour cream, salt and pepper.
