Cheesy Pork Burgers
This recipe is a tasty experiment using ground pork. The patties are enriched with Parmesan and diced Velveeta cheese for a deliciously cheesy core. After a brief chill, they are cooked until perfectly done. They are excellent served on a bun or toast, optionally accompanied by sautéed mushrooms. The whole dish comes together in about 20 minutes for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Velveeta cheese, diced (small pieces)
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 dash salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup mushroom (optional)
Method
- Combine all the listed ingredients in a mixing bowl, leaving out the mushrooms.
- Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
- Form the chilled mixture into four equal-sized patties.
- Choose your cooking method, using either a grill or a frying pan with a little olive oil.
- Cook the patties for about 5- 10 minutes per side until they are fully cooked.
- In a different pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and cook the mushrooms until tender.
- Place each cooked patty on a bun or a slice of toast to serve.
- Enjoy your meal.
