Cheesy Pasta
This creamy Italian pasta dish is adapted from a magazine find. It features a rich sauce made from butter, garlic, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, tossed with linguine. You can easily customise it by using your preferred pasta shape. For a more substantial meal, consider adding cooked chicken or shrimp when combining the sauce and pasta. The entire recipe comes together in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 Tbs minced garlic)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (12 ounce) package linguine, cooked, drained and kept warm
Method
- Melt the butter in a large skillet and cook the minced garlic, stirring often for at least 3 minutes.
- Pour in the whipping cream and let the mixture simmer for 8-10 minutes until it thickens.
- Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until it has fully melted into the sauce.
- Add the salt and black pepper, then combine the sauce with your chosen cooked pasta.
- Gently toss everything together and serve straight away.
- You may include cooked chicken or shrimp when you add the pasta to the sauce.
