Cheesy Baked Ziti
This satisfying baked pasta dish delivers impressive results with minimal effort. Ingredients
- 1/2 lb dried ziti pasta
- 16 ounces ricotta cheese (part skim)
- 12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 26 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Method
- Set your oven to 350°F. Boil a large pot of salted water, add the ziti pasta and cook for about 8 minutes until tender, then drain it.
- Transfer the drained pasta to a large bowl. Combine it with the ricotta cheese and half of the shredded mozzarella. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Pour half of the spaghetti sauce into the base of the dish. Spoon the ziti mixture over the sauce, then top with the rest of the sauce. Finish by sprinkling over the Parmesan cheese and the remaining mozzarella.
- Bake the dish without a cover for 20 to 30 minutes, until you see bubbles forming around the edges.
