Cheesy Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs
This family-friendly recipe puts a delicious twist on a classic. Spaghetti is combined with meatballs, marinara sauce and frozen vegetables, then mixed with mozzarella and baked until the cheese topping is perfectly melted. It's a simple, satisfying one-pan meal that comes together quickly.
Ingredients
- 3 cups KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1 lb frozen small meatballs
- 1 (8 ounce) bag frozen vegetables (choose either medley or single type)
- 1 (16 ounce) jar smooth marinara sauce
Method
- Heat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Place the frozen meatballs in a medium saucepan, lining the bottom and sides about halfway. Pour the marinara sauce over them until they are covered. Allow this to simmer.
- Remove the frozen vegetables from the freezer and let them sit out.
- Cook the pound of spaghetti in a large pot according to the packet directions. Once cooked, drain the water and put the spaghetti back into the pot.
- Cut each meatball in half using a dinner knife. Pour the meatballs and sauce into the pot with the spaghetti. Open the bag of frozen vegetables and add them to the pot as well.
- Stir everything together thoroughly. While mixing, gradually add two cups of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the combined mixture into a 13x9 baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining one cup of mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. It is ready when the cheese on top has fully melted.
